NEW THEATRICAL FILM FOR 20TH ANNIVERSARY OF ONE PIECE FRANCHISE TO DEBUT IN SUMMER 2019!
On October 20, 1999; an anime series premiered in Japan that featured Monkey D. Luffy, a young man who sets off on a lifelong journey to become the King of the Pirates and capture the legendary treasure: One Piece. From then on, the series that is One Piece has made an influential and cultural impact on the anime fan community for almost 20 years and it is still going strong today!
2019 will mark the 20th anniversary of this beloved anime franchise. In honor of its anniversary, a brand-new film was announced by the franchise’s official website along with the first teaser trailer and poster. The now much-anticipated 14th film of the franchise is titled One Piece Stampede.
Inside the teaser poster for the film, Luffy’s infamous straw hat is seen floating in the sky as a giant monster seemingly assembled of only rubble lingers in the background. What does it mean?? The first teaser trailer of the film looks back at the greatest moments of the series, honoring its upcoming 20th anniversary, culminating to what is promised to be a more emotional experience for One Piece fans.
