One Piece and Dragon Ball Super to have One-Hour Specials in October

It’s big battles next month! Early-October is a special treat for One Piece and Dragon Ball Super fans as it will welcome a one-hour special from both series!

One Piece takes Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates on an epic adventure as they try to take down Big Mom in the Whole Cake Island arc. The story will culminate to the ultimate battle between Luffy and Sanji. The One Piece special will air in Japan on Sunday, October 1 at 9:00 a.m.

In a week later, the one-hour Dragon Ball Super special will air in Japan on Sunday, October 8 at the same time. As fans are currently witnessing the Tournament of Power, where the fate of eight universes hangs in the balance, Goku will take on Universe 11’s mighty warrior Jiren The Gray. This is the episode where Goku’s new transformation will finally be revealed to fans.

The One Piece and Dragon Ball Super specials will not be crossover episodes, as they will be two back-to-back episodes from each series. For the purpose of the one-hour special, Dragon Ball Super will not be airing on its usual time on October 1 while One Piece will not be having an episode on October 8.
