NEW MOVIE, ONE PIECE FILM RED, OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCED WITH FIRST TEASER AND KEY VISUAL REVEALED
Although the monumental milestone 1,000th episode has passed, fans worldwide can still rejoice and get excited going into the new year with the official announcement of a brand-new film in the beloved One Piece anime franchise, titled ONE PIECE FILM RED! Announced on the day of the 1,000th episode Japan broadcast and simulcast stream as well as during the special One Piece Episode 1,000 Livestream Celebration, brought to fans virtually by Toei Animation and Funimation.
The announcement of ONE PIECE FILM RED also revealed the first teaser trailer and also the first key visual with hints of the story and the return of significant character from the series. The film will be directed by Goro Taniguchi (Code Geass) and written by Tsutomu Kuroiwa (One Piece Film: Gold).
In the same wave of the big announcement of the new One Piece film, creator Eiichiro Oda posted a special letter with his thoughts and excitement regarding the film.
